Door Handles
The series of door handles is called Comet and the design was inspired by the action of the hand as it grips, presses, pulls. It is mainly a study of ergonomics, but as the name suggests it has a comet-like appearance when seen from the front. The series is made using hot-pressing, where heated metal is placed in a mould, two plates are pressed against each other, and the heated metal is pressed into the mould, also called a die. Excess material is removed once the item has cooled, and the resulting item is finished, sanded and polished.
